Formwork molds the concrete to the desired size and shape and controls its position and alignment. It is a temporary structure that supports its weight, freshly placed concrete, and live construction loads, including materials, equipment, and workers. We work with different formwork systems with varying materials of facing to provide a wide range of concrete construction solutions that can be chosen to suit the particular needs of your project. Our systems are modular and designed to increase accuracy and minimize construction waste.

What does rebar do for concrete? It dramatically increases its strength by creating a metal skeleton inside. Rebar’s primary purpose is to increase the tensile strength of concrete. This additional strength helps it resist cracking and compensates for concrete’s inherent weakness. With greater tensile strength, concrete can resist breaking under tension which means it can safely span more considerable distances. Because rebar is used in concrete, we have many bridges, dams, and buildings you see today. Most large-scale construction and residential structures today wouldn’t be possible without rebar.

Concrete pouring is a crucial process that needs suitably qualified persons and considerable focus and concentration. The concrete must be manipulated as little as possible between its transportation and placement. This seeks to avoid any segregation of the mixture and its premature setting. Then the concrete pour must be distributed homogeneously. It needs to be homogenized by vibration to eliminate any possible trapped air. We strictly follow the clients’ required parameters with painstaking accuracy to ensure the finished product meets these standards.

Concrete that will be visible, such as driveways, highways, or patios, often needs finishing. Slabs can be finished in many ways, depending on the intended service use. Options include various colors and textures, such as exposed aggregate or a patterned-stamped surface. Some surfaces may require only strike-off and screeding to proper contour and elevation, while a broomed, floated, or troweled finish may be specified for other surfaces. Jointing is necessary to eliminate unsightly random cracks. After jointing the concrete, it should be floated with a wood or metal hand float or with a finishing machine using float blades. This embeds aggregate particles just beneath the surface; removes slight imperfections, humps, and voids; and compacts the mortar at the surface in preparation for additional finishing operations.
